Beatrice has always been passionate about animal advocacy, which accelerated when adopting her first pet parakeets in 2012, Tito and Cobalt. After volunteering at My Furry Valentine in 2016 and 2017, and inspired by the local animal rescues and their missions, Beatrice opened her own parrot rescue called B’s Birdhouse Parrot Rescue in Cincinnati, Ohio shortly after graduating college in 2018.
In the midst of rescue operations, Beatrice had provided a home for various reptiles and small mammals, and still continues to advocate for exotic and small animals while providing a platform to educate others regarding the ethical issues of the pet trade. Beatrice currently works as a veterinary assistant at a companion animal hospital and is working towards taking the VTNE.

With her volunteer work starting at the early age of eight, Rose had always had a deep passion for animals. From her time volunteering at the local animal shelter, assisting with adoption events, obtaining her Veterinary Assistant Certificate, advocating for legislative change on the state level, and being on a board of directors, she always felt there was more that could be done. The most significant of all being her several years participation in the Howard County "Hare Raisers" 4-H club throughout her youth, and her first rabbit "Patches" that started it all.
Being a Masters level social worker and certified in Veterinary Social Work, Rose deeply understands the importance of the human animal bond, as well as commonplace barriers that put those relationships at risk. Through the creation of Leaps and Squeaks Animal Rescue, Rose hopes to help underserved animals have a safe, meaningful, and fun place to live in until they find their furever home.

Michelle's dedication to animal advocacy began in elementary school through campaigning to protect sea turtles from beach driving and petitioning companies to end cosmetics testing on animals. At 18, she and her parents became involved in Trap-Neuter-Return after taking in a neonatal kitten born to a neighborhood stray. Her desire to change local ordinances that adversely affected community cats and their caregivers steered her towards a career path in animal protection. During law school, she founded her institution's first animal law organization which she led until graduation.
She now serves as a program manager of a national animal protection and welfare organization. With a focus on advancing non-animal test methods, Michelle collaborates closely with companies to promote the use of alternatives to reduce animal suffering. Prior to that, she was the animal welfare specialist for a Swiss non-profit based in Geneva where she advised the world's largest luxury fashion brands on improving animal welfare standards across their supply chains. She also directed the organization's initiatives for reptile welfare. In past roles, she has contributed to campaigns addressing the hazards of lead hunting ammunition to wildlife and advocating against the animal cruelty associated with fur usage.
Driven by her unwavering passion to protect all animals, Michelle works tirelessly in her professional and personal life to be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Since the age of 5, Stephanie has had animals in her life. In Kindergarten she told her entire class that she had a sister, omitting the fact that she was a Scottish Terrier! From that moment, Stephanie has always considered her pets as family.
Stephanie currently shares her home with 3 dogs, her husband and her daughter (when she’s home from college in Florida).
